Presidents Message

This year was an exciting year of growth and change for the Calgary Synchronized Skating Club.  We fielded four teams, Juvenile, Novice, Junior and Open.  Having four teams allowed us to attract many new skaters to the club and provided our returning skaters with an enriched skating experience. Making the change meant that all four teams had 50% or more of their skaters competing in a catogory for the first time.  Black Gold teams rose to the occasion! Our teams came home with 1 gold medal, 4 silver medals and 4 bronze medals. By the time Skate Canada brings in new categories and age restricitons under the LTAD plan in Sept 09 our teams will be experienced and ready.

If you are interested in becoming a part of synchronized skating, CSSC is the place for you. We are the largest synchronized skating club in Calgary. We are the only club that offers teams where you can skate with your peers whether you are just finishing your CanSkate program or your gold test levels. As well as superb coaching on the ice, our teams have fabulous off ice social events. Indulge in your passion for skating and make friends for life by joining a Black Gold team.
