Are you interested in joining the Black Gold family? Auditions occur in April and May to join a team. If you're unsure what level of session to attend please fill in our 'new skater form' and our coaches will be in touch with you to find the right session. If you know what level you're at, please sign up for an audition session with the 'audition session registration' form.
If you've come across our club at a different time than April, please still get in touch as we are always looking for new skaters to join our family!

2026-2027 Season Team Placements
(AKA Auditions or Tryouts)
Interested in skating with Black Gold for the 2026/2027 season? We'd love to have you! The 2026/2027 team placements are upon us! Please sign up for a session below by adding the session(s) to your cart and completing the checkout process. If you are new to our club this process will require you to create an account on our website.
Coaches will assess all skaters skill levels and ages at the team placement sessions. They may place skaters on a different team than the team session they attended based on these factors.
Team Age and Skill Levels:
- Learn to Synchro (Beginner): Approximate age 6 - 9. Approximate level CanSkate 3 - Star 1.
- Star 4 (Elementary): This category is called Star 4, but skaters are level Star 1-4.
- Star 6 (Juvenile): Approximate age range of 10-14.
- Novice: Under 16.
- Star 8 (Pre-Novice): Under 18.
- Gold (Intermediate): Under 19.
- Open: Age range 15 and over.
- Junior: Age range 13-19.
- Senior: Age range 17 and over.
If you know of a skater who is new to our club and looking to attend a Team Placement session, please direct them to the Join CSSC page on our site.
Please only sign up for the sessions of the teams you are genuinely interested in skating on. These are not skill sessions and it makes the coaches job much harder when skaters attend just for the skills aspect of it and not because they are genuinely interested in skating on that team. Thank you!
